Join us at Cecil Thompson Pond in Peace River for our first-ever Fatherโ€™s Day Fishing Derby โ€” a non-competitive, family-focused, catch-and-release fishing event designed to bring the community together. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or brand new to the sport, all are welcome to take part in this fun and relaxed morning of fishing, food, and connection.

Each individual must submit their own registration form. Parents/guardians may assist youth in completing theirs.

โš ๏ธ Important Guidelines

  • Alberta Sportfishing Regulations apply
  • Anglers aged 16โ€“64 require a valid Alberta Sportfishing License and photo ID
  • First Nations persons are exempt from licensing but must follow regulations
  • Barbless hooks only
  • Fishing from designated docks only (no boats)
  • PFDs recommended โ€” especially for children
  • Proper fish handling is strongly encouraged
  • Bring a cooler if you plan to keep a legal catch (no holding tanks available)

Participants are welcome to bring non-fishing guests to enjoy the atmosphere and BBQ lunch. During registration, please indicate the number of guests attending with you who will not be fishing to help us plan accordingly.
